Manchioneel Bay - named after the tree with poisonous, small green apples is a beautiful long sandy beach with plenty of shade. Mooring are available and it is a popular anchor spot for yachts, although the seagrass covered bed can make getting a firm holding difficult.
On a trivia note, Manchioneel Bay is believed by some to be the inspiration for Jimmy Buffet's famous "Cheeseburger in Paradise".
British Virgin Islands beaches have been voted the "best beaches" by Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine.
Getting to Manchioneel Bay
Cooper Island Beach Cub run a regular ferry service from the new Joma Marina next to Port Purcell on the eastern side of Road Harbour.
