Marine & Underwater
Using our engineered precast concrete dock system we have completed a wide variety of docks, marinas and bulkheads in the Virgin Islands. We manufacture our own precast piles, caps and slabs for an efficient and economic solution to marine construction. Meridian Construction can provide design engineering and quotations for any type of dock or marine structure.
Piling & Substructure
Due to the nature of the soil and substrata in the Virgin Islands, many of the new commercial buildings require piled substructures. Meridian Construction has installed hundreds of piles, including precast or prestressed concrete and steel pipe piles to depths ranging from 40-ft to 110-ft.
General Construction
High quality and our organisational ability have enabled us to complete some of the more prestigious projects in the British Virgin Islands such as Government House, the official residence of the Governor and luxury villas in Little Dix Bay Hotel. Our civil engineering background has won us projects building power station extensions in both the British & US Virgin Islands.
Steel Work & Framing
Structural steel is an increasing popular system being used in high rise construction due its flexibility and speed of erection. Meridian Construction’s team of erectors have built complex structures including Beef Island International Airport and large cell phone towers.
Interiors
Some of our prominent customers demand office environments that are contemporary with other offices in the major cities of the world. Skilled tradesmen in our workforce provide us with the capacity to deliver superior finishes to create the ambience.
The Equipment
Meridian’s two 120’ x 45’ deck barges allow for easy transport of supplies and equipment to any location. The company’s 75T, 60T and 50T lattice booms and a 30T and 22T hydraulic cranes are equally mobile and permit unlimited construction opportunities.
In addition, the company owns and operates diesel and hydraulic piling hammers and rigs, excavators, trucks, backhoes and plant and tools necessary for all civil and marine works.
