The Bight The Bight, Privateer Bay - The Caves

The inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island - adventure can still be found on Norman Island, but of a different kind… The Bight offers one of the most protected harbours in the region and is a popular anchorage for yachters for this reason. At the Eastern entrance of The Bight is a small cove that offers excellent snorkeling.

British Virgin Islands beaches have been voted the "best beaches" by Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine.

Getting to The Bight

Check with Pirates Bight Restaurant about the ferry schedule to the Bight from their dock at Hanna Bay, Tortola. ( other  side of harbour entrance ,opposite Peglegs Landing Restaurant at Nanny Cay).

The William Thornton (Willi T) Floating Restaurant in the Bight is only reachable by private boat at the moment.
